يقوم البحث على عمودين مركزيين: اللغة والحضارة؛ في محاولة كشفٍ عن علاقة الوجه الحضاري العربيّ والإسلاميّ البهيّ باللغة العربية.
اللغة نسق من الرموز والإشارات ونظام من العلامات، وهي أداة المعرفة وقوامها، تساعد على الحوار والتفاهم بين أفراد المجتمعات، إذ هي وعاء للفكر لما تنهض به من وظائف تواصلية وتخصيصها بملكة التعبير عن المشاعر والأحاسيس والرؤى…
والحضارة مجموع العطاء والإبداع الإنساني في الفن والفكر والعلم والآداب والعمران والاجتماع والأخلاق والقيم والسلوك والمعتقدات… إنّها إرث ماديّ ومعنويّ، يسعى الإنسان من خلاله إلى التطوير والتجويد استشرافاً لمستقبل متقدّم وزاهر.
وتعدّ العربية من أقدم وأعمق اللغات البشرية. وقد حظيت لدى أهلها بمكانة بارزة واحتفاء خاصّ ولّد عديداً من الخطباء المصاقع والشعراء الفحول النابهين. وكان لها دور حاسم في ثقافات الشعوب التي خالطت العرب، مما أنتج حضارة عربية إسلامية لامعة مشعّة. أسهب في إلماع هذه الحقيقة مؤرخون ومؤلفون من عيار وول ديورانت الأمريكي في (قصة الحضارة) وزيغريد هونكه الألمانية في (شمس العرب تسطع على الغرب) وغيرهما كثير.
وإذا تحوّل وجه الحضارة العربية الإسلامية من التوهّج والإشراق إلى نوع من الذبول والأفول، فمردّ بعض ذلك إلى إهمال اللغة العربية؛ فانبعاث حضارة رهين بإحياء وتطوير لغة تلك الحضارة!
Arabic language and the question of civilization
The research is based on two central pillars: language and civilization, in an attempt to reveal the relationship between the Arab and Islamic civilization and the splendor of the Arabic language.
Language is a system of symbols and signs, and a system of signs, which is the tool and its strength, which helps in dialogue and understanding between members of societies, and it is a container of thought for its communicative functions and its allocation to the queen of expressing feelings, feelings and visions…
Civilization is the sum of giving and human creativity in art, thought, science, literature, urbanism, sociology, ethics, values, behavior and beliefs … It is a material and moral heritage, through which man seeks to develop and improve in anticipation of an advanced and prosperous future
Arabic is one of the oldest and deepest human languages. She enjoyed a prominent position among her people and a special celebration that gave birth to many preaching preachers and stellar poets who were astute … and had a decisive role in the cultures of the peoples who mixed with the Arabs, which produced a radiant, radiant Arab Islamic civilization. This fact was extensively illustrated by historians and authors of the American caliber of Durant in (The Story of Civilization) and German Sigrid Honke in (The Arab Sun Shines on the West) and many others.
And if the face of Arab-Islamic civilization turns from glow and radiance to a kind of wilt and fading, some of it is due to the neglect of the Arabic language
